God Made You New

Every year we come to the same crossroads in our lives. We hunger to make changes that we feel would make a remarkable difference. We search out possibilities that only God knows what's next in our lives. We begin with a fresh spirit and the right attitude then in a matter of days we come to a crossroads. We no longer search for something new.

The truth is, God is the author who lovingly make things new every day of our lives. His Word illuminates that he gives us beauty for ashes. Isaiah 61:3. God’s plan for our lives hold his truth. His Word will magnify his will for us. He cares deeply for how we show up to live our purpose each day. There was a time in my life when I made New Year's resolution. I refer to his word that illuminates this plain truth, “My ways are not your ways, and your ways are not my ways,” says the Lord. Isaiah 55:8. I made a decision with intention of heart to follow his plan. The word resolution according to Webster's dictionary is a firm decision to do or not to do something, therefore when we begin the new, begin with the heart of God’s plan. Ask, Lord, what would you have me do. If it is your will, let it be done.

God doesn't care how we present ourselves to him. His only desire is our hearts. His only desire is that we come to him. He look on us with eyes of compassion and love, he loves you. We are his good people. Genesis 1:13. We are new in God's eyes everyday. He makes all things new. Revelation 21:5. There is no need to feel the rushing wind and anxieties of keeping up with the time. When you walk in God's timing and have an intimate relationship with him, he will empower you to make every decision, design the next idea, and live out his purpose in wholeness, not feeling weary in doing it all our way. Jeremiah 29:13. When we seek him with our whole hearts, there is peace in every decision, we can hope for a favorable outcome, and there is security in the firm foundation that our plans are planted.

Let God continue to make you new, so that the light of his presence will guide you into all truth. John 16:13.

Lord, thank you for considering me new in your eyes. Help me to let go off the old way, and look to the new according to your plan, Amen.
